Justice for the Hungry

ASBURY SOUP KITCHEN

Trinity Episcopal Church in Asbury hosts a Food Justice program and serves 35,000 meals a year. Every Saturday they do a soup kitchen serving about 100 people and providing bags of food to those in need.

Once a quarter Jack Miskin leads a team of volunteers from True Life Church to join the battle against the cycle of poverty by serving at the Soup Kitchen. This is a fantastic way to serve the hungry & needy and be the light for Christ in a dark world.

True Life is responsible for the first week in January, April, July, and October. The Soup kitchen runs from 9:30am till 1:30pm and involves food prep, serving, and clean-up.

Every year the Spring Lake Community Theatre partners with Trinity to donate 100% of the ticket proceeds from the opening night of their spring musical to Food Justice at Trinity. This year the play is "The Producers" and opening night is Friday, March 29th at 7pm.

If you are interested in getting tickets for the play to support Food Justice or serving at the Soup Kitchen please contact Jack Miskin (732-275-7565 or jlmiskin@yahoo.com) for more details.
